Janitorial Service at the Coast Guard Academy

Background
The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is conducting market research to assess the availability and pricing for janitorial services at the Coast Guard Academy located in New London, CT.

The contract is expected to span a base year with four additional option years, aiming to maintain a clean and professional environment at the Academy.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all management, tools, equipment, and labor necessary for custodial services at the US Coast Guard Academy. Key tasks include:
1. **Facility Cleaning Services**: Maintain cleanliness of non-carpeted and carpeted floors, stairways, doors, elevators, and accessible lifts. This includes routine cleaning methods appropriate for each surface type.
2. **Trash Collection/Removal**: Collect and dispose of trash from all receptacles in serviced areas, ensuring receptacles are clean and free of odors.
3. **Restroom Cleaning Services**: Clean and disinfect all restroom surfaces including sinks, toilets, urinals, and showers using germicidal detergents. Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies like toilet tissue and paper towels.
4. **Periodic Cleaning Services**: Conduct periodic maintenance for hard floors and carpets as specified in the service standards.
5. **Miscellaneous Cleaning Services**: Includes dusting surfaces within specified heights, cleaning glass surfaces, maintaining exercise equipment cleanliness, and special requirements for specific areas like the chapel or athletic facilities.
6. **Emergency Cleaning Services**: Respond to urgent cleaning needs within specified timeframes upon notification.
7. **Quality Control**: Implement a quality control program to ensure compliance with performance objectives outlined in the contract.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance includes a base year from December 30, 2025 to December 29, 2026, followed by four option years extending through December 29, 2030.

The primary locations for service delivery include the USCG Academy at 15 Mohegan Ave, New London, CT 06320 and the Child Development Center at 16 Farnsworth St, New London, CT 06320.
