James River IDIQ INDUSTRY DAY AGENDA & TO1 Draft SOW   4

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District (NAO) is hosting a virtual Industry Day event for dredging industry contractors interested in the anticipated James River Maintenance Dredging IDIQ contract and seed project.

The goal of this contract is to maintain navigability in the James River, specifically focusing on dredging operations at the Richmond Deepwater Terminal and the channel extending to Hopewell.

Work Details
The work to be performed under this IDIQ Contract Task Order will include dredging operations on the Upper James River, specifically at the Richmond Deepwater Terminal and from Richmond Deepwater Terminal to Hopewell.

The tasks include:
- Mobilization/Demobilization
- Dredging of Richmond Deepwater Terminal (250,000 CY)
- Dredging from Richmond Deepwater Terminal to Hopewell (50,000 CY)
- Transportation of Plant (50 miles)
- Installation/Removal of Additional Pipeline (3,000 LF)
- Sitework (2.0 LS)
- Standby Time (2.0 Days).

A Before Dredging survey will be conducted for each dredging area upon receipt of the Contractor’s advance notice for dredging. The dredging will be performed up to full channel width to specified elevations: -22 Feet Mean Lower Low Water at Richmond Deepwater Terminal and -25 Feet Mean Lower Low Water from Richmond Deepwater Terminal to Hopewell. One foot of overdepth will be allowed.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete all work within 240 calendar days.

Place of Performance
Upper James River, including Richmond Deepwater Terminal and the channel extending to Hopewell.
