FY25 NJJCS Janitorial Equipment Maintenance and Repair (B+4OPT)

Background
The Veterans Administration (VA) New Jersey Healthcare System (NJHCS), specifically the Environmental Management Service (EMS), requires repair services for its janitorial equipment. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all janitorial equipment operates according to manufacturers' specifications and industry standard practices, thereby supporting the VA's mission to provide high-quality healthcare services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, tools, material, parts, repair services, preventive maintenance, and maintenance support on the janitorial equipment as required by the NJHCS. All repairs and maintenance will be performed in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines. Specific tasks include:
- Providing preventative maintenance on all machines on a quarterly basis, with the schedule determined by VANJHCS after contract award.
- Maintenance services including troubleshooting, replacement of worn parts, calibration/adjustment, cleaning, and lubricating in accordance with OEM standards.
- Furnishing all parts necessary for repairs and maintaining a stock of unique or highly critical replacement parts available for shipment within 24 hours of request. Only new parts will be used routinely; refurbished parts require approval from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Supplying service manuals and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for any chemicals used during maintenance.
- Providing detailed service reports after each service call documenting various aspects such as contractor name, service details, equipment identification, and signatures from both the contractor and an authorized VA employee.

Period of Performance
Base period estimated from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 with four one-year option years extending through March 31, 2030.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the VA New Jersey Healthcare System locations including East Orange VAMC and Lyons VAMC in East Orange, NJ.
