Description

The purpose of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to provide the Martinsburg VA Medical Center Rehabilitation Services Outdoor Pool with Management and Lifeguard services IAW the Statement of Work.

The mission of the Department of Veterans Affairs Martinsburg VA Medical Center is to provide the highest quality healthcare to our nation's veterans. To support this mission we must provide safe, clean and environmentally compliant facilities. The Outdoor Pool at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center needs management, maintenance, and lifeguard services.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs Martinsburg VA Medical Center aims to provide the highest quality healthcare to veterans and ensure safe, clean, and environmentally compliant facilities. The Outdoor Pool at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center requires management, maintenance, and lifeguard services.

Work Details
The Contractor is required to provide management of daily functions of the MVAMC outdoor pool, including pool maintenance, daily management, coordination of staff, oversight and obtainment of certified lifeguards, assurance that on-duty staff have current certifications, coordination with MVAMC staff/Recreation Therapy for activities.
The contract includes a base year period from May 25th, 2024, to August 24th, 2024, with four optional years. Specific tasks include providing oversight, maintenance and management of the outdoor pool for one year with potential base plus four optional years contract. The Contractor must comply with VHA policy/requirements while on MVAMC premises and follow West Virginia Bureau of Public Health regulations. The Contractor will perform daily maintenance duties such as maintaining interior pool cleanliness, vacuuming the pool daily, maintaining cleanliness and safe access to exterior areas of the pool, completing regular inspections of emergency equipment and locker rooms/restrooms for cleanliness/safety.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a base year period from May 25th, 2024, to August 24th, 2024, with four optional years: May 24th, 2025 - August 23rd, 2025; May 23rd, 2026 - August 22nd, 2026; May 22nd, 2027 - August 21st, 2027; May 27th, 2028 - August 19th, 2028.

The contract work will be performed at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center outdoor pool located at: 510 Butler Avenue Martinsburg, WV 25405.
