Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, VAMC Providence, is issuing a contract for kitchen hood inspection and cleaning services to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain operational efficiency at the Bedford VA Medical Center.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all certified personnel, equipment, supplies, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision necessary to perform quarterly cleaning and inspection of kitchen exhaust hoods and associated components at the Bedford VA Medical Center. Inspections will adhere to manufacturer guidelines, NFPA 96, VA HVAC Design Guide, and relevant laws.

The facility has 5 kitchen hoods with approximately 36 baffle filters in various buildings. Lockout & tag out procedures and other safety measures must be followed. A written report detailing deficiencies found during inspections is required. Immediate notification to the COR is necessary if a deficiency requires taking a kitchen hood out of service.

Period of Performance
This contract will be for a base year plus four option years.
