Background
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance service for kitchen equipment repair and preventive maintenance at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center and the Honor Center.
This service is essential to ensure uninterrupted operation of kitchen facilities, which are critical to the mission of serving veterans.

Work Details
The contractor must be authorized to provide service, maintenance, and repair for the listed kitchen equipment without compromising existing factory warranties.
The scope of work includes preventive maintenance and emergent repairs on various kitchen equipment such as warewashers, cooking appliances, food machines, refrigeration units, and more.
Specific tasks include:
- Performing preventive maintenance (PM) four times per year on various equipment types including warewashers, warmers, slicers, mixers, ovens, and refrigeration units.
- Providing 24/7 emergency repair services for specific equipment like the Hobart FT1000 flight-type warewasher.
- Ensuring all services comply with manufacturer specifications to maintain warranty coverage.

Period of Performance
The contract will begin on July 20, 2026, and will run through July 19, 2027, with options for renewal in subsequent years.
