Siemens Uroskop De-Installation Services at Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the deinstallation of a Siemens Uroskop device at the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center. The Uroskop is a urology device that has reached the end of its life cycle, and this contract aims to ensure its safe removal and compliance with health and safety regulations.

This requirement is set aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, travel, and parts necessary to perform the deinstallation of the Siemens Uroskop and its accessories. Key tasks include:

- Conducting a pre-removal assessment to identify cabling and connected utilities;
- Disassembling and removing all equipment components such as the imaging gantry, patient table, display systems, and mounting structures;
- Patching or capping any floor or wall penetrations made during removal;
- Transporting all equipment off-site for disposal in accordance with environmental regulations;
- Coordinating with Biomedical Engineering to minimize operational disruptions.

The contractor must comply with OSHA safety regulations and VA policies regarding construction safety and infection control.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to begin on June 1, 2026, and end on November 30, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered in the SBA Veteran Small Business Certification program and meet small business size standards. The contractor must have full-time staff including at least one 'fully qualified' Field Service Engineer (FSE) with relevant training and experience in handling similar equipment.
