PM and Repair of Surgical Microscopes | | POP: 06/01/2025-05/31/2026 Base Plus Four Option Years

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Network Contracting Office NCO 19, is issuing this solicitation for the maintenance and repair of surgical microscopes. The goal of this contract is to ensure that surgical microscopes at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, UT, are maintained in optimal working condition to support the agency's mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, supervision and disposal necessary for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on Surgical Microscopes. Services include:
- Preventive maintenance services such as cleaning eyepieces, checking pistons and springs, cleaning binoculars, checking flex arm locks, cleaning zoom and magnification changers, checking main power supply, cleaning objective lenses, inspecting foot pedals, and more.
- PM Services will be performed semi-annually during the first and third quarters of the calendar year.
- Repair services will include all parts, consumables, labor, freight and travel expenses at no additional cost to the customer.
- Contractor must provide a priority response time within 24 hours of receiving a service call.
- Replacement parts must be new or certified refurbished at no additional cost.
- 24/7 phone support and loaner equipment must be provided during extended repairs.

Period of Performance
Base Year: June 1st, 2025 – May 31st, 2026; Option Year 1: June 1st, 2026 – May 31st, 2027; Option Year 2: June 1st, 2027 – May 31st, 2028; Option Year 3: June 1st, 2028 – May 31st, 2029; Option Year 4: June 1st, 2029 – May 31st, 2030.
