Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking a contractor to provide Biomedical Equipment Calibration Services for the Puget Sound Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) program. The HTM program performs preventive maintenance on numerous medical devices. To ensure reliable performance, the test equipment used must be calibrated annually by a certified vendor. As the hospital invests in newer equipment, there is a growing need for additional testing equipment that cannot be funded through micro purchases, necessitating this service contract.

Work Details
The contractor must be ISO/IEC 17025 certified and will provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items required to perform maintenance as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor will conduct on-site preventive maintenance (PM) and calibrations for various test equipment located in the Biomedical Engineering Department. Minimal equipment will be sent out for depot PM/calibrations. A detailed report indicating calibration results must be provided for verification of work completed. Specific tasks include calibrating multiple types of instruments such as multimeters, temperature meters, pressure meters, safety analyzers, and simulators among others.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on September 1, 2025, and ends on August 31, 2026. There are options to extend the contract for up to four additional years.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System located at 1660 S Columbian Way, Seattle WA 98108.
