Special Notice Special Notice Page 2 of 2 *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 2 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Boston Scientific Corporation, 300 Boston Scientific WAY Marlborough, Massachusetts 01752 for Preventative Maintenance Services on the PRO/BARD Electrophysiology monitoring equipment located at the Durham VAMC, 508 Fulton Street, Durham, NC 27705. It is the Government s belief that the proposed candidate is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and sole provider of the PRO/BARD Electrophysiology monitoring equipment and all associated products and service maintenance. Using any other supplier would result in duplicated costs that would not be recovered through competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research has determined that these items can only be obtained from a single source without an unacceptable duplication of cost or delay in the continuity of patient care. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can provide the preventative maintenance to the PRO/BARD Electrophysiology monitoring equipment may give written notice to Patsy.Simpson@va.gov by 10:00am EDT on November 11, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Interested and capable respondents are requested to provide the information below. All responses to this notice shall include company name, address, point of contact, phone number, System for Award (SAMs) Unique Entity Id Number (UEI), manufacturer authorization letter, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller documentation. Responses will be considered by the Government; however, a determination by the Government, not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
