Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this contract to provide a Hand Hygiene Monitoring System at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN. The goal of this contract is to enhance hand hygiene compliance monitoring to prevent Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) among patients and healthcare personnel.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all services, labor, travel, transportation, material, shipping, parts, and equipment necessary to perform repairs for the equipment listed in the Statement of Work according to the original manufacturer’s specifications.

The contractor will supply equipment including badges, beacons, and base stations for collecting electronic hand hygiene monitoring data at the facility. The system will monitor hand hygiene compliance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It will allow for comprehensive reporting accessible only to designated personnel using login credentials.

The solution includes a device worn by staff that indicates compliance with hand hygiene policies through visual (LED) and audible/vibration notifications. Additionally, the contractor must ensure data hosting and provide ongoing support including training materials and client success visits. They are also responsible for maintaining privacy through data encryption and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
