Page 2 of 2 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East, Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) intends to award a sole source contract award to Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089. The period of performance for contract award will be from November 1, 2021 to October 31, 2022 with provisions of four (4) option years. The requirement is for a service agreement on the GeneXpert Infinity Analyzer located at the Albany VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave, Albany, NY 12208 and Buffalo VA Medical Center, 3495 Bailey Ave, Buffalo, NY 14215. Service to include repairs and maintenance. The Contractor is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in the service of all equipment listed within this notice. The Government shall maintain the right to seek proof of qualification prior to award and anytime during contract period of performance. All work shall be performed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) field service engineer authorized by Cepheid to perform service and use only new OEM parts. Cepheid is the only known service provider since the equipment is proprietary and maintenance therefore only be provided by Cepheid. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 16, 2021 by 4:00 PM (ET). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to Tevia.Mastykarz@va.gov.
