Base Plus 4 Steris Medivators Service   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has issued a solicitation for a Steris Medivators Systems Service Contract. The contract is for on-site, full-service maintenance and repair to ensure that Medivator systems are kept in proper operating condition and ready to safely and effectively sterilize medical instruments at the Roseburg VA Medical Center and Eugene HCC. The contract includes all parts and service to provide preventative maintenance, on-site repairs, and ensure that all units are fully operational according to manufacturer specifications prior to departure.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all necessary travel, labor, materials, tools, documentation, and parts for repairs and quarterly scheduled maintenance at the Roseburg and Eugene campuses. The maintenance and repair services shall be provided between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. Specific tasks include quarterly preventative maintenance services such as cleaning the system, performing system validation and calibration, replacing susceptible parts to failure, returning the equipment to its operating condition designed by the manufacturer, furnishing a completed service report indicating the result of the scheduled inspection, and providing certified in-service training to staff.
Unscheduled maintenance services may also be required. The contractor must provide repair services which may consist of calibration, cleaning, oiling, adjusting, replacing parts, maintaining the equipment, including all intervening calls necessary between regular services and calibrations. The contractor must respond within two hours after receipt of telephoned notification 24 hours per day.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance is for one year with options for four additional years unless otherwise directed by the Contracting Officer (CO). Work at the site shall not take place on Federal holidays or weekends unless directed by the CO.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs Roseburg Healthcare System located at 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd., Roseburg, Oregon; and Eugene HCC located at 3355 Chad Dr., Eugene, Oregon.
