Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 *= Required Field Special Notice Page 1 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source contract pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b) Ethicon US LLC. is located at 1000 US Highway Suite 202, Raritan, NJ 08869, for a one-year base period and four one-year option periods from 01 April 2025 through 31 March 2030. The Pittsburgh VA Health Care System has a requirement for Full-Service Maintenance to Ethicon NeuWave Microwave Ablation System. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any responsible firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification and capability statements prior to the response due date and time. Vendors shall indicate if they are the direct supplier of the items. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements and must include relevant corporate experience along with the applicable contract number, total contract dollar amount, contract period of performance, details of the relevant services and customer point of contact with corresponding telephone number and email address. Responses must include following information: Company Name SAM number Company s address Point of Contact information (title, phone number and email address) Business size. Response received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information provided will not be returned. Responses are due by Thursday, 27 February 2025 at 10:00 AM (EST). No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Procurement Office East (RPOE), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO 4) intends to award a sole source contract to Ethicon US LLC for Full-Service Maintenance of the Ethicon NeuWave Microwave Ablation System. This contract is critical for ensuring the continuous reliability and operation of the system used in surgical procedures at the Pittsburgh VA Health Care System, which is essential for patient care.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide full-service maintenance for the Ethicon NeuWave Microwave Ablation system, including:

1. **Preventative Maintenance (PM)**: Scheduled maintenance to ensure equipment reliability, with documentation provided post-service. PM must be scheduled at least one week in advance.

2. **Corrective Maintenance**: Unlimited telephone technical support and on-site service as needed, with service calls authorized only from designated personnel. Unplanned repairs require prior remote troubleshooting.

3. **Parts and Software**: All parts supplied must be OEM and compatible; no refurbished parts are allowed. Software patches and updates are included.
