Description

POLICY UPDATE System updates may lag policy updates. The System for Award Management (SAM) may continue to require entities to complete representations based on provisions that are not included in agency solicitations. Examples include 52.222-25, Affirmative Action Compliance, and paragraph (d) of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Products and Commercial Services. Contracting officers will not consider these representations when making award decisions or enforce requirements. Entities are not required to, nor are they able to, update their entity registration to remove these representations in SAM.
Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for the LYNX Panic Alarm Maintenance Service at the Hampton VA Medical Center. The goal of the contract is to ensure the effective maintenance and support of the LYNX Panic Alarm system, which is critical for the safety and security of personnel and patients within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide support services during normal working hours for the Licensed Software Products associated with the LYNX Panic Alarm system. Specific tasks include:

1. Providing technical support for a period of one year from July 31, 2026, to July 30, 2027.
2. Coordinating with Police Service as the focal point and VA representative for this contract.
3. Offering access to a Support Services portal where customer support contacts can submit tickets and track issues.
4. Performing priority assessments on customer inquiries to determine urgency.
5. Assisting in command syntax and usage, advanced assistance with LYNX facilities, system calls, driver facilities, and utilities at both application and interaction levels.
6. Providing general advice on features, capabilities, and use of the Licensed Software Product.
7. Handling problem reporting and escalation as necessary.

The contract will be performed over a one-year period from July 31, 2026, to July 30, 2027.
