MCC & Panelboards Replacement

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Procurement Office Central, Network Contracting Office 10, is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of electrical components at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to enhance the facility's electrical infrastructure by replacing outdated equipment with modern alternatives, thereby ensuring improved operational efficiency and safety.

Work Details
The contract involves the following construction tasks:
1. Replacement of two existing Motor Control Centers (MCCs) with free-standing panelboards and circuit breakers.
2. Replacement of two existing panelboards and cabinets with one consolidated panelboard.
All work must comply with the attached Statement of Work and Specifications.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet the following requirements:
1. Must be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).
2. Must possess relevant contractor licenses for electrical work.
3. Must provide bid/payment/performance bonds as required for the project.
4. Must demonstrate qualifications/experience/past performance in similar projects.

This opportunity appears to have a confirmed incumbent and/or closely related prior contract based on Vancom’s prior work at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center under contract 36C25024D0084 (including a task order 10, 36C25024D0084-36C25026N0314). The prior awards involved data and power IDC support and power installation/cabling work at the same facility, which aligns with the current requirement to replace MCCs and panelboards/cabinets and install associated electrical components. While the scope is not identical, the shared location and electrical/power installation focus suggest continuity of similar facility electrical infrastructure work.
