Ice Machine Service Contract   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for an Ice Machine Service Contract to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of ice machines across its Boston Healthcare System facilities. The goal of this contract is to maintain health standards and operational efficiency in the provision of ice for patient care and other services at the Brockton, Jamaica Plain, and West Roxbury divisions.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide cleaning and sanitation services for 75 ice machines located at three VA facilities. This includes:
- Conducting two semi-annual site visits approximately six months apart to perform all required manufacturer procedures for cleaning.
- Internal cleaning and sanitizing of ice machines.
- Wiping down external surfaces, cleaning drip trays, flushing drain lines, and cleaning water dispensing nozzles.
- Vacuuming/washing air filters.
- Replacing water filters (filters provided by VA).
- For each machine serviced, the contractor must provide a certificate and written report with photographs showing before and after conditions to validate the cleaning process.

Final inspections will be conducted by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) at each station.

Period of Performance
One base year plus four option years.
