Sources Sought Steam Leak Repair Service Contract at the Tomah VA Medical Center

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research to identify firms capable of providing Steam Leak Repair Services at the Tomah VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to repair a leak in a steam condensate return line pipe, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital operations and maintaining safety standards.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, travel, management, and equipment necessary to repair a leak in a steam condensate return line pipe located in Building 403 near the S16 stairwell. Specific tasks include:

- Coordinating repair time with VA staff;
- Ensuring access through the exterior door by stairwell S16;
- Completing an Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM) form;
- Following Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) procedures;
- Coordinating with the Tomah VAMC’s Fire Department before cutting existing pipe;
- Obtaining necessary permits such as Hot-Work and confined space permits;
- Insulating pipes post-repair; and
- Cleaning the work area after completion.

All work must be performed within 45 calendar days after the award of the contract.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to be completed within 45 calendar days after the date of award.
