Maintenance, Inspection and Calibration of Boiler system for the Edward Hines JR VAMC located in Chicago IL   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is issuing this solicitation for Boiler Maintenance and Inspection Services at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Medical Center located in Chicago, IL. The goal of this contract is to ensure the operational efficiency and safety of the boiler systems critical to healthcare utility and support equipment within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, travel, management, tools, and equipment necessary to perform maintenance and testing on the boiler plant equipment located at the Edward Hines Jr. VAMC and Joliet VA Clinic. The services include:
1. Calibration of test instruments and sensors.
2. Safety device testing and documentation.
3. Internal and external inspections of boilers, condensate tanks, and related equipment.
4. Preventative maintenance of boiler systems, fuel systems, burner management controls, and supporting equipment.
5. All work must comply with OEM recommendations, local, state, federal standards, and VA policies.
6. The contractor must provide qualified personnel with relevant certifications for performing these services.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base period from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027 with options for two additional years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed on-site at the Edward Hines VA Hospital located at 5000 South 5th Avenue, Hines, IL 60141 and at the Joliet VA Clinic located at 1201 Eagle Street, Joliet, IL 60432.
