Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a solicitation for construction Project 668-25-103, aimed at upgrading the drainage system in Building 1 Lab at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.

This project is crucial due to multiple flooding events that have occurred at existing floor drains, which have been exacerbated by continuous upgrades and additions of equipment in the lab. The goal of this contract is to enhance the utility infrastructure's resiliency and capacity to prevent future flooding.

The project is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $300,000 and $500,000.

Work Details
The scope of work includes all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and documentation necessary to upgrade drainage in Building 1 Lab. Key tasks include:
- Sewer camera inspections for existing drain lines.
- Upgrading existing floor drains and adding faucets to them.
- Demolition work including concrete cutting and plumbing installations.
- Flooring restoration to meet pre-construction standards after completion of work.
- Adherence to safety requirements including infection control barriers that are fire-resistant and water-resistant.
- Coordination with the Contracting Officer (CO) for any changes or deviations from the scope of work.
