Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for air inspections (TABS) and central HVAC/R systems cleaning services at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of HVAC/R systems, which are critical for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.

Work Details
The contractor shall conduct test and air inspections (TABS) and clean central HVAC/R systems, associated ductwork, and mechanical equipment located at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Specific tasks include:

1. Quarterly Air Changes per Hour (ACH) testing, balancing, adjustment, and certification of various ventilation systems across multiple rooms within the facility.

2. Quarterly cleaning, sanitation/degreasing of cafeteria exhaust systems.

3. Semi-annual cleaning of Air Handling Units (AHUs).

4. Cleaning and sanitization of exhaust systems and exhaust fan assemblies & motor assemblies.

5. Performing pharmaceutical surface sampling for bacterial and fungus as required by USP 797.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period starting from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, with options for four additional years.
