Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a contract for Building Automation Management and HVAC/R Service for Facility Maintenance at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center located in Chicago, IL. The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of HVAC/R systems across the facility, which includes multiple buildings on campus. This initiative aligns with the agency's mission to provide high-quality care and services to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and tools for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of temperature control systems and devices as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). Services must comply with OEM recommendations, applicable regulations, and VA Policies & Procedures. Key tasks include:
- Providing on-site Controls Service Technician support for 32 hours per week with qualifications including three years of industry experience or five years in HVAC servicing.
- Providing HVAC Mechanic services for 32 hours per week with qualifications including five years of experience in commercial HVAC systems.
- Conducting regular preventive maintenance (PM) services according to OEM specifications, including inspections, cleanings, calibrations, repairs, and documentation.
- Diagnosing issues and performing repairs or replacements as necessary with prior approval from the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- Coordinating utility shutdowns when necessary for repairs.
- Maintaining records of all services rendered and ensuring compliance with conformance standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on December 1, 2025, and will run through November 30, 2026, with options to extend for additional periods up to a total duration not exceeding five years.
