SAP - Panalytical Axios Power Supply Repair and PM   3

Background
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) at the National Vehicle Fuels and Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL) is seeking to purchase and install a generator, HV cable, and preventative maintenance on the US EPA owned Malvern Panalytical Axios. This is for repair and preventative maintenance of an existing EPA owned instrument that is dedicated for the measurement of sulfur ASTM D2622-10 Standard Test Method for Sulfur in Petroleum Products by Wavelength Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometry. The replacement generator and HV cable are limited to the OEM. No other source for the generator and HV cable are available for this instrument as Malvern Panalytical utilizes proprietary software and other proprietary components that require specific repair parts and services. Therefore, this is a sole source procurement.

Work Details
The work includes the purchase and installation of one HV Power Supply, one HV Cable, and one preventative maintenance visit to repair an existing Panalytical Axios XRF used to measure sulfur content of petroleum products ASTM D2622. The part numbers identified for this repair are: Power Supply - 5322 785 01481, HV Cable - 5322 785 01521, Preventative Maintenance - 5322 784 00641 (or equivalent). The repair parts and services must be compatible with Malvern Panalytical Axios XRF which is capable of sequential measurement of elements from beryllium to uranium, measurement of liquid and solid samples, transferring measurement results to the SuperQ software, and capable of measuring sulfur in hydrocarbon matrices with a limit-of-detection less than 1 mg S/kg.
