Salem Maritime National Historic Site "Friendship

Background
The contract is issued for the repair and maintenance of the 'Friendship of Salem,' a historic sailing vessel located at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site. The mission of the site is to preserve and interpret the maritime history of Salem, Massachusetts, and to provide educational opportunities related to this heritage. The goal of this contract is to ensure that the vessel remains in good condition for public display and educational purposes.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for various tasks related to the repair and maintenance of the sailing vessel 'Friendship.' This includes but is not limited to:
- Performing necessary repairs as outlined in Attachment 2 - Repair Details for Sailing Vessel Friendship.
- Following guidelines provided in Attachment 4 - Coppercoat Do’s and Don’ts, and Attachment 5 - Coppercoat Maintenance Guide.
- Utilizing materials specified in Attachment 3 - 02010 Materials.
- Conducting inspections and maintenance on sewage tank arrangements as detailed in Attachments 7 and 8.
- Addressing structural integrity through assessments based on information from Attachments 10 and 11.
- Implementing steering gear maintenance as per Attachment 13.
Additionally, compliance with wage determination as per Attachment 14 is required.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period leading up to December 23, 2024.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site in Salem, Massachusetts.
