Background
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), through its Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory (ASL), operates seismograph stations around the world. The ASL has the additional mission to support the operation of seismic networks for monitoring and research as well as provide quality control assurance on these networks. The network operation component of ASL installs, operates, and maintains Seismograph Networks (SN) including the USGS component of the Global Seismographic Network (GSN) and the backbone of the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) and ensures the quality and integrity of the data.

Work Details
The primary focus of contract personnel is: GSN and N4 network operations, Depot operations, Data quality control, Research and instrument testing support, Instrument lab and warehouse, Regional Network support.

The Contractor shall provide a program manager, field engineers, software engineers, data quality specialists, and other personnel as required by the Statement of Work to perform technical services in support of the USGS SN. Performance of contract services will involve frequent and extended foreign travel for field engineers. Deployment durations may extend up to six or eight weeks in the case of new station installations and remote locations.

Period of Performance
Base Period: November 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022; Option Period One: May 1, 2022 to April 30, 2023; Option Period Two: May 1, 2023 to April 30, 2024; Option Period Three: May 1, 2024 to April 30, 2025; Option Period Four: May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026; Six Month Extension (if utilized by the Government): May 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026

Place of Performance
The work will typically be performed at the Albuquerque Seismological Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In some cases, tasks may require travel to designated domestic locations. Task A includes activities at global and domestic locations.
