Illumina MiSeq Support Plan

Background
The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), Office of Acquisitions (OA), intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive sole source basis to Illumina to provide an Illumina MiSeq Support Plan. The Division of Intramural Research (DIR) provides a number of services to multiple labs across the NHLBI. In order to be effective, the DIR requires maintenance coverage for the Miseq equipment housed in the DNA Sequencing and Genomics Core to ensure full functionality at all times and preserve the ability to provide ongoing/consistent support across critical scientific experiments.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the MiSeq support plan that meets the listed requirements, including maintenance of Miseq machine, labor- and travel-related charges associated with any service repair visit, replacement parts covered, replacements of consumable purchases if the failed sequencing caused by machine or reagent issue, software version upgrades, scheduled and emergency service performed between specific hours, and factory-trained customer support engineers. The government responsibilities include issuing service requests to the Contractor, giving access to all instruments needing repair, and assessing the quality of services rendered by the Contractor.
