FIRE EXTINGUISHER INSPECTION/REPAIR SERVICES

Background
The solicitation is for fire extinguisher inspection and repair services. The contract requires the contractor to provide all plant, equipment, labor, supervision, and materials necessary to perform fire extinguisher inspections and repairs in accordance with the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The period of performance is from 12/12/2022 to 06/11/2028, including a base year and four option years. The contract is a Firm Fixed Price award type.

Work Details
The contractor is required to perform tasks such as obtaining and maintaining permits, licenses, authorizations, and certificates as required by laws and regulations; ensuring portable fire extinguishers comply with applicable standards, regulations, and codes; performing annual fire extinguisher inspections and maintenance according to NFPA 10; conducting various checks on the fire extinguishers; refilling or recharging extinguishers as needed; cleaning the extinguisher shell if necessary; disposing of condemned fire extinguishers; providing services Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 4:00pm; coordinating access to sites with the designated USGS contact at least five business days prior to scheduled inspection, maintenance, and service.

Period of Performance
The period of performance includes a base year from 12/12/2022 to 12/11/2023, followed by four option years from 12/12/2023 to 06/11/2028.

Place of Performance
The services are required at various locations including Building 15, Building 20, and Building 25 within the Denver Federal Center.
