IWTSD Broad Agency Announcement FY 2026

Background
The Irregular Warfare Technical Support Directorate (IWTSD) is issuing this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to address gaps identified by stakeholders in various mission areas.

The BAA aims to enhance the capabilities of the Department of Defense (DOD) in conducting Irregular Warfare, which includes unconventional warfare, stabilization, foreign internal defense, counterterrorism, and counterinsurgency.

The anticipated awards for submissions under this BAA are planned for Fiscal Year 2026, with a focus on competitive selection of research proposals.

Work Details
The contract will encompass a range of technology development requirements and objectives across multiple mission areas including:
1. Advanced Analytics: Development of enterprise tools for continuity programs within DOD to enhance situational awareness and decision-making during continuity events.
2. Advanced Development: Assessing cybersecurity risks in the transportation sector and developing innovative solutions for Special Operations Forces (SOF) to operate effectively in underground environments.
3. Influence and Information Capabilities: Research and development to improve information operations and influence engagements targeting foreign audiences.
4. Protection, Survivability, and Recovery: Solutions aimed at enhancing medical capabilities for SOF in remote environments. Each area will require detailed proposals that include phases of work, deliverables, risk assessments, and compliance with DOD standards.
