ISD Plasma Cutter

Background
The Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) Directorate of Public Works (DPW) is seeking quotes for brand-new equipment to enhance their capabilities in welding operations. The goal of this contract is to procure a high-quality plasma cutting machine that meets specific technical requirements for use in their R&D Welding Laboratory located in Vicksburg, MS.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of one HORNET XD CNC plasma cutting machine, specifically a 10’ x 20’ XPR460 CNC plasma table, or an equivalent product. The equipment must meet the following minimum specifications:
- Made in the U.S.A
- Rail and gantry system, non-unitized table
- 10 ft cutting width with a maximum total machine width of 16.83 ft
- 20 ft cutting length with an overall rail length of 26 ft maximum
- Zoned down draft table with removable slag trays
- 460 amp power supply with multiple settings (30, 50, 80, 170, 220, 300, and 460 amp)
- Bridge-mounted operator station
- Over-travel limits and homing switches
- One-button machine squaring
- Full heat shield under machine beam
- Manual bevel system in the x-axis
- Cross hair laser alignment tool
- Minimum material pierce and cut of 2.5 inches and minimum separation of 4 inches
- Optimix gas console supporting various plasma gas usages (O2, Air, N2, F5, AR, H2) and shield gas usages (O2, Air, N2, H2O)
- Multiple dual-stage regulators for different gases with pressure ranges of 5-125 psi
- Refrigerated air dryer with air line regulator and oil filter
- Microsoft Windows 10® - Embedded Version for operation
- Conversion capability for DXF files into machine code
- Integrated SENSOR torch height control interface
- Plasma marking capability with nitrogen or argon gases
- Pronest 2025 software module and post processor included.
- Eight additional torch heads beyond the one included.
- Camfill Farr Gold Series X-Flo GSX10 dust collector or equivalent with specified airflow and filtration features.
The vendor must also provide warranty details: a 60-month warranty on frame components and a 12-month warranty on all remaining parts. On-site offload, installation of the machine and options ordered, as well as training for operation and maintenance for a minimum of five days are required.

Period of Performance
Delivery and startup are required within 90 calendar days of award.
