Purchase Agency: Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
Reason for Purchase: The IRS is seeking contract support to provide professional computer science training in a classroom environment for newly hired Computer Audit Specialists (CAS). This training is necessary to develop participants' understanding of information systems, computer programming, and data/data analytics.
Work to be Acquired: The contractor will collaborate with the IRS Computer Audit Specialist Program to develop the curriculum, student and instructor guides, and other training materials. They will also deliver instructor-led face-to-face training on various computer science topics, including computer engineering, computer systems, data analytics, and the history and future of computing.
Timeframe of Acquisition: The contract will include a base year plus two option years. The start and end dates of each training class will be determined by the IRS.
Place of Performance/Delivery: The contractor will deliver the training at their own facility, which must include a fully functional classroom with WIFI connections, a breakroom and kitchenette, and an office for the IRS class manager.
Notable Information: The IRS reserves the right to postpone or deliver the training in a virtual environment if circumstances prevent in-person classroom training. The contractor must have the capability to deliver training in a virtual environment. The contractor is responsible for developing and keeping the curriculum and materials current and relevant throughout the duration of the contract. The IRS will provide laptops, software, books, and other necessary equipment and materials, except for those specifically listed as government furnished property. Security requirements include compliance with IRS rules, regulations, and policies concerning safety and security.
