Description

The proposed contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, incidental engineering, and other items necessary to provide demolition of Fifty-three (53) facilities located at the Marine Corp Base Camp Lejeune (MCBCL) and Marine Corp Air Station New River (MCAS-NR) and throughout surrounding areas in the Jacksonville North Carolina (NC). The contractor shall provide transportation to and from the facilities locations. The proposed contractor shall be certified with the proper federal, state, and local Environmental Protection Agencies. It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide certification requirements to the Government at the pre-ward conference prior to the start of the work.

A brief description of the work is as follows, and details of the specifications to perform the requirement will be posted in the actual solicitation.

Performing Details Requires:

  • Each building and/or area shall be a separate bid item as described in the project specification description once provided in the solicitation. The exact location will be indicated by the Contracting Officer.
  • The buildings and associated structures will be demolished to grade and sodded back to green space. All grades will allow for positive drainage.
  • Contractor is responsible for all utilities locates. Any damage to the existing utilities noted to remain shall be repaired at the contractor's expense.

Special Conditions:

One Person my fill the role of Superintendent and Quality Control or Quality Control Manager and Safety Health Officer (SSHO) if duly qualified for the two (2) positions. The Procurement Method is FAR Parts 14.

Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic is seeking contractors for a demolition project involving fifty-three (53) facilities located at the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune (MCBCL) and Marine Corps Air Station New River (MCAS-NR) in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

The goal of this contract is to safely demolish these buildings and restore the areas to green space, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local Environmental Protection Agency regulations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, management, tools, materials, equipment, facilities, incidental engineering, and other items necessary for the demolition work.

Specific tasks include:
- Each building and/or area will be treated as a separate bid item as described in the project specifications.
- Demolition of buildings and associated structures will be completed down to grade with restoration to green space. All grades must allow for positive drainage.
- The contractor is responsible for locating all utilities; any damage to existing utilities that are to remain must be repaired at the contractor's expense.
- One individual may serve as both Superintendent and Quality Control or as Quality Control Manager and Safety Health Officer (SSHO), provided they are duly qualified for both roles.

Period of Performance
The contract will include a base period of 365 days, with any extensions at the discretion of the government.
