IONM Technician & Professional Services - Cleveland VAMC

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking to procure Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM) Technician and Professional Services for the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center. The goal of this contract is to provide essential IONM services to beneficiaries of the VA, ensuring high-quality patient care during surgical procedures.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide 1.0 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technical Services (Technician) and 1.0 FTE Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Professional Services (MD). The services include:
- Performing all aspects of IONM as needed, including modalities such as somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), motor evoked potentials (MEP), electromyography (EMG), electroencephalography (EEG), cortical mapping, and brain stem recordings.
- Communicating results of monitoring in real-time to the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists.
- Applying and removing electrodes as needed for monitoring.
- Assisting the surgical team in explaining IONM procedures to patients pre-operatively.
- Participating in the Cleveland VAMC’s quality assurance program as required.
The contractor must ensure that all personnel are credentialed and privileged according to VA standards before providing services.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from April 1, 2025, through March 31, 2030, consisting of five one-year ordering periods.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center located at 10701 East Boulevard, Cleveland, OH 44106.
