Sealed bid subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Invitations for Bids, for the purchase and removal of the Government-owned property listed in this notice to bidders, will be received until the time, date, and at the place indicated below, and then publicly opened.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a salvage contract involving the sale of government-owned forest products at Sam Rayburn and Town Bluff Lakes in Texas. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the removal of designated timber, specifically pine and hardwood species, while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and best management practices.

Work Details
The contract involves the sale and removal of the following forest products:
- Pine Sawtimber: 500 Tons
- Pine Pulpwood: 100 Tons
- Pine Chip-N-Saw/Pallet: 100 Tons
- Hardwood Sawtimber: 100 Tons
- Hardwood Pallet: 100 Tons
- Hardwood Pulpwood: 100 Tons.

This is a salvage contract where actual volumes to be harvested are not predictable in advance; estimates are provided for bidding purposes only. The successful bidder must comply with specific operational guidelines including:
1. All tops within 150 feet of any public road must be lopped to within 2.5 feet of the ground.
2. Skidder width shall not exceed 12 feet.
3. No machinery or soil disturbing activity will be allowed on designated sensitive sites without prior approval.
4. Harvest operations must begin within two weeks of notification by the Project Forester.
5. All harvesting activities must adhere to Texas Forest Service approved Best Management Practices (BMPs).

Period of Performance
The harvesting and removal of timber must be completed by January 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
The timber is located at Sam Rayburn Lake and Town Bluff Lake in Angelina, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Sabine, and San Augustine Counties in Texas.
