Intrusion Detection System Replacement, Franklin Falls Dam, Franklin, NH and Blackwater Dam, Webster, NH   2

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a contract for the replacement of an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) at two project locations: Franklin Falls Dam in Franklin, NH, and Blackwater Dam in Webster, NH. The goal of this contract is to enhance security by removing portions of the existing IDS and installing a new system that complies with the National Electrical Code, New Hampshire Building Code, and applicable Fire Codes.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all equipment, materials, and labor necessary to remove portions of the existing IDS and install a new IDS at six buildings at Franklin Falls Dam and four buildings at Blackwater Dam. Specific tasks include:
- Removal of existing intrusion detection system components.
- Installation of new intrusion detection system components including:
- Premise Control Units (PCUs) compliant with UL 1023.
- Tamper-resistant component enclosures.
- Dual technology passive infrared sensors and microwave sensors.
- High security balanced magnetic switches for doors.
- Photoelectric and ionization combination smoke detectors and heat detectors.
- Alarm sirens compliant with UL 464.
- Fire alarm pull stations compliant with UL 38.

All installations must comply with relevant safety standards and codes, including EM 385-1-1 for safety requirements. The contractor must also prepare an Accident Prevention Plan (APP) prior to commencing work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is set at 180 days from the Notice to Proceed. Work must commence within 45 days of this notice.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at two locations: Franklin Falls Dam located at 46 Granite Drive, Franklin, NH, and Blackwater Dam located at 43 White Plains Road, Webster, NH.
