Interruptible Natural Gas

Background
The solicitation is for interruptible natural gas utility service at Robins Air Force Base (RAFB) in Georgia. The purpose of the contract is to procure a one-year base contract with nine option years for basewide interruptible natural gas service. The government seeks to acquire natural gas at a rate that provides an average savings of 65% over firm costs for RAFB, with the ability to curtail usage within a 24-hour notice from the provider.
The contract will cover two service locations on RAFB capable of supplying interruptible natural gas basewide.

Work Details
The tasks under this contract include furnishing regulated interruptible natural gas utility service on a full-service basis, including transportation and all associated services requested by the government from the contractor at the premises to be served. The contractor must provide a completed Rate Schedule (Base + Options), a copy of Special Standard of Responsibility documentation, and a signed SF33 acknowledging any amendments. Safety and security requirements, measurement of service, rates and charges, continuity of service and consumption, changes in volume or character of service, payment by government, and conflicts are also detailed in the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is one base year with nine optional 12-month periods, totaling a possibility of 10 years.
