Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Networking Office 7 is seeking to award a firm-fixed-price contract for courier services. The goal of this contract is to provide timely transportation of medical specimens and other materials for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) at the VA Augusta Healthcare System, which serves veterans at multiple locations in Augusta, Georgia.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide daily courier service for the pick-up and delivery of medical specimens, pharmacy prescriptions, and miscellaneous items. Services must be available 24/7 for emergent needs and during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM) for routine operations.

The contractor will transport items between the following locations:
1. Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (Downtown Division), 950 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30901
2. Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (Augusta Women’s Health Clinic), 820 Saint Sebastian Way, Suite 8A, Augusta, GA 30901
3. Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center (Uptown Division), 1 Freedom Way, Augusta, GA 30904.

The contractor must ensure that all laboratory specimens are delivered promptly to preserve their integrity and comply with all applicable transportation regulations. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, personnel, transportation, supervision, and materials required to perform these services effectively.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a base year from April 16, 2025 to April 15, 2026, with four optional one-year extensions available.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various locations within the VA Augusta Healthcare System in Augusta, Georgia.
