Intent to Sole Source - Teflon Coating Services

Background
The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a Sole Source basis from Kamatics Corporation under the authority of Part 12, Part 13. The contract is issued as a synopsis/solicitation. The company receiving the sole source award is Kamatics Corporation.

Work Details
To procure services to establish an 'off-site' service agreement to apply and machine the new KAron liner profile configuration for the F/A-18EFG NLG Steering Collar, Government-owned asset inducted for repair at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, CA 92135-3058. The services include applying and machining the new KAron liner profile configuration for the F/A-18EFG NLG Steering Collar. Specific requirements include performing an overall inspection and evaluation of fifty (50) NLG Steering Collars, data and processes, applying new liner configuration to each steering collar, finishing machine newly applied steering collar liner, performing Quality Assurance inspection of liner after application, packaging steering collar appropriately to ensure it is not damaged during shipping process, and shipping completed steering collar to specified address.

Period of Performance
The Period of Performance (POP) for the requested services is to begin upon receipt of NLG Steering Collar for a period not to exceed three hundred sixty-five (365) days.

The geographic location for performance is Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), Naval Air Station (NAS) North Island, CA 92135-3058.
