Intent to Sole Source: Preventative Maintenance Agreement with an Authorized Caterpillar (CAT) Dealer   2

NOTICE: THIS IS A SOLE-SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT AN RFQ. The intent of this notice is to inform the vendor community of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI)'s proposed contract action. This proposed procurement is for items that the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than February 16, 2022, 12:00 pm Eastern Time. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.

NCEI intends to award a sole-source contract to Carolina Tractor & Equipment Company based on FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The purpose of this procurement is to provide preventive maintenance with an authorized Caterpillar (CAT) Dealer to maintain the generator and not void the existing warranty for one (1) year base period, and four (4) option periods.

The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except automotive and electronic) Repair and Maintenance $8.0m.
