Description

The 411th Contracting Support Brigade (CSB) intends to increase the ceiling
on its existing Multiple Award Indefinite Deliver Indefinite Quantity (MA
IDIQ) contracts by $90 million from $249 million to $339 million and extend
the period of performance to the end of Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 from 13 July
2017 to 30 September 2017. There are currently seventeen (17) general
construction MA IDIQ contract holders:

Pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented in FAR Part 6.302-1, the
Government needs to modify the MA IDIQ contracts to increase the ceiling to
meet all United States Forces Korea (USFK) construction requirements
effectively and efficiently, preventing a duplication of effort not
expected to be recovered through full and open competition and also prevent unacceptable delays in fulfilling requirements. The initial ceiling was
set based on the projected requirements of various requiring activities
throughout USFK. However, unforeseen and unanticipated requirements
resulted in a quicker exhaustion of the initial ceiling.

The Government intends to solicit for the follow-on contracts around mid-
February 2017.
