Instrument Tracking System Software National Contract

Background
The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Office of Sterile Processing (OSP) is seeking to establish a firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for an Instrument Tracking System (ITS) software and support services.

The goal of this contract is to standardize the Sterile Processing ITS across all healthcare systems that reprocess and/or store Reusable Medical Devices (RMD), thereby improving patient safety and operational efficiency within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide a Sterile Processing– Instrument Tracking System (ITS) that includes: overall program management for ITS implementation, installation, configuration, testing, and training on ITS; integration with VA systems; provision of Disaster Recovery capability; site assessment; server support; and annual maintenance support and licenses.

The ITS must track the sterilization and movement of RMD using barcodes or unique device identifiers (UDI), facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide advanced analytics capabilities. The system architecture must integrate data from various facilities into a single database accessible via a unified user interface. Additionally, the Contractor must ensure that the solution functions on standardized VA computers and supports mobile access for handheld devices.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be defined in the task orders issued under this IDIQ contract, which will span multiple years as needed to fulfill the requirements outlined in the Performance Work Statement.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be at the Technology Acquisition Center located at 23 Christopher Way, Eatontown, New Jersey.
