Background
The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity Healthcare Contracting Division, Southeast (DHACA-HCD-SE) is issuing a justification for other than full and open competition for Instrument Management and Maintenance Services required by the U.S. Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (USNMRTC) in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

This contract aims to ensure the operational readiness of medical instruments critical to military healthcare.

Work Details
The contractor will provide qualified personnel equipped with necessary tools and supplies to perform the following services: periodic preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, replacement of non-serviceable or non-functional equipment, and on-location repairs for required equipment.

The services specifically include repair and maintenance for 159 surgical, medical, and dental instrument trays.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must demonstrate capability to provide specialized Instrument Management and Maintenance Services. STERIS IMS is identified as the sole source due to its status as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the required instruments and its exclusive provision of proprietary equipment.
