Install Solar Street Lights-Chinle Hdqtr

Background
The Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) is issuing this solicitation for a fixed-price construction contract set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE). The goal of the contract is to enhance the safety and aesthetics of the BIE Arizona Navajo Central Agency Housing area in Chinle, Arizona, by installing solar LED streetlights. This project aims to improve visibility and security for residents in the housing area.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, and incidentals necessary to install a total of 20 streetlights, which includes 17 solar LED streetlights and 3 standard LED streetlights. The work will encompass design, installation, civil work, and commissioning of the solar and LED street lighting system. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible for removing all waste material generated during the project and ensuring that all installations are performed according to manufacturer's specifications and industry standards. The project also includes a one-year warranty maintenance for the installed lights.

Specific tasks include:
- Installation of 17 Solar LED Streetlights and 3 LED Streetlights
- Compliance with OSHA regulations regarding safety
- Provision of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Management of traffic control and site cleanup
- Adherence to federal, state, and local regulations regarding construction activities.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from May 5, 2025, to August 1, 2025. The contractor is required to commence work within ten calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and complete all work within ninety calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the BIE Arizona Navajo Central Agency Facility located at PO Box 998 Navajo Rte. 7 Bldg. 137, Chinle AZ 86503.
