Description

This document serves as a solicitation for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA for a requirement for Project 691-21-120 to Install Dedicated Fire Suppression Water Distribution System and Replace Potable Water Lines for North Campus . Work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, training, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to accomplish the work. The work includes, but is not limited to general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures and certain other items necessary for completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a solicitation for Project 691-21-120 to 'Install Dedicated Fire Suppression Water Distribution System and Replace Potable Water Lines for North Campus' at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The work will be performed in a functioning hospital environment. The contract will be awarded under Part 14 -- Sealed Bidding and is 100% set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) in compliance with Public Law (PL) 109-461, 38 United States Code (USC), Section 8127.

Work Details
The work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, utility systems, necessary demolition and removal of existing structures, and other items necessary for completion. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications, and drawings of the solicitation and all applicable local and VA building codes.

Period of Performance
The estimated completion time for the project is three hundred sixty-five (365) calendar days.
