Inspection, Testing, Maintenance of Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System   2

Background
The U.S. Army Garrison Aberdeen Proving Ground and Adelphi Laboratory Center require fire alarm, fire sprinkler/suppression systems inspection, testing, maintenance, service, and repair. The Contractor is expected to provide all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, and supervision for these tasks throughout the Aberdeen Proving Ground facilities.

Work Details
The tasks for the contract include inspection, testing, maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. The contractor is required to perform these tasks according to the UFC 3-601-02 guidelines. Specific details include the start and end years for ITM tasks, wage rates for water-based fire protection equipment and sprinkler fitters, testing intervals for fire pumps as per NFPA 25 and UFC 3-601-02, maintenance requirements for nitrogen generators not listed in UFC, AFFF foam system inspection requirements, prevailing wage determination process, handling of deficiencies exceeding $400 in material cost, responsibility for placing special hazard systems in service as part of the contract, and changes in the list of buildings subject to the contract.
