Description

Ideally, technologies would significantly reduce indoor PM2.5 and other air pollutants (e.g., volatile organic compounds or VOCs), and maintain performance under real-word conditions (i.e., high outdoor concentrations). Applications should consider cost, noise, safety, energy consumption, pollution generation, ease of use, and environmental lifecycle of materials used. Technologies could be designed for use in homes and/or public and commercial buildings. EPA is particularly interested in technologies that provide solutions for combined cleaning and cooling.
