Background
The Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) is part of the larger Naval Medical Research and Development Enterprise Laboratories. NMRC is both the Headquarters for seven subordinate RDT&E laboratories and major research laboratory. The NMRC is located at the Forest Glen Annex, in Silver Spring, MD, building 8400, Fort Detrick, MD, and a single department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), Bethesda, MD. NMRC’s mission is to conduct health and medical research, development testing evaluation, and surveillance to enhance deployment readiness of DoD personnel worldwide.
