This is a SPECIAL NOTICE to announce an INDUSTRY DAY for an upcoming new Medium Class Hopper Dredge (MCHD) procurement. The new MCHD will be part of the USACE minimum fleet and operate for the Philadelphia District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Industry Day will be held on Thursday, February 3rd, 2021, beginning at 10:00 am and ending no later than 1:00 pm. The purpose of this event is to provide a brief overview of the requirements for the upcoming MCHD solicitation anticipated to be published on or about 1 April 2022. The Industry Day will also address specific questions relating to the vessel, performance, mission, and to seek information/feedback from shipyards, dredging designers, and dredging suppliers that can be valuable for the Government's effort when planning and preparing the solicitation for the combined design and construction contract of the new MCHD.

THIS INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. This is not a solicitation announcement for proposals and there may be no contract awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In addition to this announcement, a draft solicitation titled W912BU Medium Class Hopper Dredge Replacement - will also be published for INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY.

LOCATION: The Industry Day will be held virtually through Cisco WebEx.

REGISTRATION: All interested attendees MUST pre-register by e-mail to Contract Specialist, Michael J. Hunter, Michael.J.Hunter@usace.army.mil no later than 1 Feb 2022, 3:00 PM EST. Registration must include: name, company/venture, daytime telephone number, DUNS number, e-mail address, physical street address, and representatives of the respective shipyard, dredge designer, and dredging suppliers. Attendance/access will ONLY be granted to representatives of shipyards, dredge designers, and dredge suppliers or a combination thereof (Joint Venture, Prime/Sub, etc.) interested in performing and reasonably able to perform ALL of the following major contract components: 1) Planning, 2) Designing & Engineering, & 3) Shipyard Construction of the new MCHD. In addition, attendance admittance will be on a first come first serve basis. Lastly, offerors are requested to provide a count of how many people (from each registered Contractor/Offeror/Joint Venture) that will be in attendance virtually. Attendance is limited to a MAX of three (3) personnel per registered Contractor/Offeror/Joint Venture. A confirmation email will be sent to all approved registrants no later than 01:00 PM EST on February 2nd, 2022 the week of the Industry Day. Confirmation email will include the meeting WebEx URL address, call in information, and password for access.
