Industry Day Announcement

NOTICE:

The Government will conduct an industry day on 4 August 2021, 0800 1630 Mountain Daylight Savings Time (MDT) in support of the El Paso VA New Health Care Center to be constructed on Fort Bliss, El Paso TX. Interested parties planning to participate will email CESWF-IIS@usace.army.mil , no later than 28 July 2021, with the following information:

6. Business Size (Large or Small Business Category)
7. Interest in project (Prime or Subcontractor)
8. Do you consent to share the information provided with firms who will be attending the industry day? Please answer Yes or No'.

After we have received the information from the interested parties, a confirmation email will be sent. Inquiries and questions related to the project may be submitted in advance via ProjNet. Opportunities to ask additional questions will allowed during the Q&A time. The Government intends to answer as many questions as possible during the allotted Q&A time.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The construction will consist of an approximately 500,000 gross sq. ft Health Care Center on a ~30-acre site adjacent to the new William Beaumont Army Medical Center on Fort Bliss, El Paso, Texas. The project includes new surface parking, central energy plant, underground utility distribution, walkways, roadways, landscaping, site lighting and other associated improvements necessary to support the new Health Care Center. The project is planned as a Design-Build (DB) contract. The project will be designed in accordance with the criteria prescribed in the Department of Veteran Affairs Technical Information Library (TIL).

COVID PRECAUTIONS: Masks: In order to maintain the safety of all participants masks are required to be worn when participating in this Industry Day. This includes while registering and inside Salon A, B, E & F of the Marriott Hotel. Social Distancing: The Industry Day event will be configured in a way to promote the greatest amount of social distancing; chairs will be placed 6 feet apart, separate entrance and exit doors. Participants are reminded to maintain 6 feet apart even when wearing a mask as the CDC recommends maintaining social distancing in addition to mask wearing.

Virtual Option: USACE will be hosting a virtual option of this Industry Day for those who are unable to attend. Registration is still required in order to receive the login information. Please indicate in your registration request if you will be attending virtually.
