Industrial Plant Equipment Maintenance Program   3

Background
The NNSY Code 983 Maintenance Department (C983) requires a program that will plan, schedule, and provide qualified personnel for preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and calibration analysis of the industrial machinery located at NNSY within the Controlled Industrial Area. The resulting contract will provide for certified technicians, transportation, equipment, parts, tools, materials, supervision and all other items/services necessary to execute a maintenance program which performs on-site preventive maintenance, comprehensive calibration analysis, corrective maintenance, and personnel training for up to 600 machine tools. The Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) Maintenance Program shall be effective on a continual basis commencing with an initial 12-month base period followed by four (4) 12-month option periods.

Work Details
The work includes the administration of all services described in Section 6 of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) along with the training elements found in Section 12. It also involves recurring preventive maintenance of various industrial plant equipment categorized under different Federal Supply Classifications (FSC) such as saws and filing machines, machining centers and way type machines, electric and ultrasonic erosion machines, drilling and tapping machines, gear cutting and finishing machines, grinding machines, lathes, milling machines, metal heat treating and non-thermal treating equipment, gas welding, heat cutting, and metalizing equipment, bending and forming machines, mechanical presses, power-driven machines, manual presses, punching and shearing machines. Additionally it includes preventive maintenance of industrial plant equipment categorized as sawmill and planing mill machines woodworking machines and industrial boilers. The contract also covers corrective maintenance services as per Section 11 and 13 of the PWS along with contract data requirements.

Period of Performance
The Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) Maintenance Program shall be effective on a continual basis commencing with an initial 12-month base period followed by four (4) 12-month option periods.
