Projected RFP Release Date: August 2022 3. Projected Award Date: December 2022 Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) identified an IIoT Enterprise Platform as the key enabler for the AFSC digital transformation and future state vision. AFSC desires an IIoT Enterprise Platform as part of the ATHENA ecosystem (along with the digital infrastructure and digital environment) to serve as a medium for deployment of OT advances, driving AFSC to enable Industry 4.0 principles. For the purposes of this acquisition, the use of the term "enterprise" encompasses the three Air Logistics Complexes (ALCs): Robins Air Force Base (AFB), Georgia; Tinker AFB, Oklahoma; and Hill AFB, Utah. Depending on resources, this acquisition could extend to operating locations at: Randolph AFB, TX; Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ; and Kadena Air Base, Japan. This SOO establishes an acquisition scope that allows satisfaction of currently identified requirements with a comprehensive, encompassing complement of IIoT services, and yet provides future adaptation to business, cultural, and technology changes that may occur over the period of performance. Initially, the scope of this contract supports the Chief Information Technology Officer's (CITO's) IIoT needs by providing an Enterprise IIoT Platform SolaaS that collects and transports OT data generated from disparate sensors, instruments, and devices into a framework for collection, automation, and analysis via enterprise industrial networks and management applications. Future expansion of IIoT Enterprise Platform capabilities will link operational processes and industrial control systems to enable machine learning, predictive analytics, and dashboard capabilities to provide efficiency and overall visibility in ALC industrial areas. For the purposes of this acquisition, the initial focus is on IIoT devices and machines directly engaged in the manufacturing process. Depending on resources, the acquisition could include devices that support or enable direct manufacturing devices ((e.g., vacuums, air handlers, compactors, paint booths, clean rooms, etc.).
